Resurfacing
Jan. 7th, 2014 01:41 pmI'm still alive and my dissertation is making me cranky, so clearly that means it's time to update after a long hiatus. I also have a stress fracture in my foot so I've been cooped up for a while--at least the freezing cold means I'm not the only one.
I still watch a lot of TV, but I find that dissertating doesn't leave me with a lot of brainspace to write about it. Talking about it is easier, since my two of my neighbors are in fandom and Trekkies to boot. (It also means that yet again I saw no Mummers Parade, for those of you familiar with my city and its wacky tradition).
In an effort to make only resolutions that make me happy, I did make a list of TV to watch in 2014, mostly based on long ago cancelled shows I had no time to watch early on in grad school. (Some of them I did watch sporadically during their original runs). I also am contemplating ways to be a better commenter in all of my various social spaces.
I just finished Life which activated by old school XF partnership kink while being heartbreaking and hilarious by turns. Currently working on Pushing Daisies. It used to get on my nerves because Ned is a sometimes kind of a horrible human. Then the show started calling him on it more, so I'm going to stick with it. I also have things I'd like to rewatch, but that's another post.
